3. EMOTIONS: Along with creating the physical world of<br />
the show, a set must evoke emotions as well. Each of the<br />
major physical areas in THE LION KING are associated with<br />
different songs:<br />
THE PRIDELANDS: “<strong>The</strong> Circle of Life” or “Shadowlands”<br />
THE ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD: “Be Prepared” or “Chow Down”<br />
THE JUNGLE: “Hakuna Matata” or “Can You Feel the Love<br />
Tonight?”<br />
Listen to the songs associated with the environment<br />
you’ve chosen. What emotions do the songs evoke? What<br />
colors do you see? Patterns? What do you hear? Smell?<br />
List ten descriptive words that these songs evoke (be<br />
sure to address all five senses).
