RMC President Michael Mace has focused on two major efforts for the coming years: Growing enrollment and<br />
growing the endowment. Both efforts have been well served by the Morledge family support.<br />
The dedication this month <strong>of</strong> Morledge –<br />
Kimball Hall has been an invigorating<br />
process.<br />
With the staunch support <strong>of</strong> the Morledge<br />
family, we will see it bustling with energy this fall.<br />
Faculty will be in new <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />
Students will attend new classrooms.<br />
Conference rooms will find seminars and meetings<br />
conducted.<br />
There are places to sit and relax, to converse,<br />
and to read and study.<br />
It is the realization <strong>of</strong> what Dr. Charles and<br />
Patricia Morledge dreamed <strong>of</strong> accomplishing<br />
with one <strong>of</strong> the campus’s most notable aged<br />
buildings for many years.<br />
Renovation and new construction occurred<br />
during a time when financial stresses nationwide<br />
halted many construction projects, but <strong>Rocky</strong><br />
<strong>Mountain</strong> <strong>College</strong> could point with pride to the<br />
progress on its campus.<br />
When I think <strong>of</strong> the Morledges I recall so many<br />
wonderful stories. Brad Nason, our vice president<br />
and dean <strong>of</strong> student life, recounts the establishment<br />
<strong>of</strong> a fund the Morledges created for nonacademic<br />
purposes.<br />
