Location/view
Completed in 1871, the Hofbräuhaus is located opposite what was the old
City Hall of the former free city of Regensburg. It has been in the hands of the
Schafbauer family since June 1988.
The Restaurant
With its relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant is frequented by both locals and
tourists alike. Looking out of the window, you have a direct view of the old
City Hall and a scene that encompasses a city steeped in history. For over
half a millennium, this was a meeting place for powerful regional leaders
who moved Regensburg right into the spotlight of European history. Food
is served all day.
Our Specialities
The traditional cuisine and authentic surroundings, combined with a host of
beers from the Munich ‘Hofbräu’ brewery, are not just famous in Regensburg.
In addition to the cosy and rustic guest rooms, our idyllic courtyard can also
provide the perfect setting during the summer months in which to savour our
Bavarian specialities - from traditional German sausage delicacies to cold cuts
which, after 4 pm, also include red and white headcheese, or cold meat platters
with horseradish.
From Monday to Friday, between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm, you will find daily
menus for just 6€, ideal for working customers or indeed anyone who wishes
to take advantage of this special offer.
