There is aneed for both the maker and the public to learn what isinvolved in making, carving, sculpture. Attention to detail isgiven, plus construction techniques and the development ofan eye for design. Views and ReviewsPETER BANNANAUSTRALIA — SOME OBSERVATIONS,MAINLY ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHYPeter will give an illustrated talk after the AGM. 27 Nov.87As recipient of the 1985 C.S.A. — Guthrey Travel Award Ispent just over five weeks towards the end of last yearlooking around Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.This was my first visit to Australia, and my main intentionwas to see as much photography, both Australian andInternational, as I could. I must admit that I also did my fairshare of Cappuccino drinking, Christmas shopping, eatingunfamiliar food, and visiting numerous night clubs, mostwith enormous video screens (wall sized) next to theirdance floors.
