Thus, the book you’re looking at is simplythe first part of Seattle 2063, covering Downtown, the heart of the Seattle Metroplex. In early 2003—knock on wood!—the remainder of Seattle 2063 willbe available.Author’s NoteSpecial thanks to everyone at www.bulldrek.com thatmade this happen.Editor’s NoteFirst of all, I would like to thank Paul, Earl, David,Eva, and all the rest of the contributors for the fabulouseffort they put into this work. Without them, this wouldhave never happened.Seattle 2063 is, in my mind, a crossover project. It’ssmoothly integrated into the current timeline, but has theold school feel of FASA’s original Seattle Sourcebook. Heavyon rumor, plot hooks and hidden conspiracies, Seattle2063 offers a batch of fresh material to add to your game, whether you dig into the conspiracies or just accept thecontent at face value. It’s also full of in-jokes, subtle andnot-at-all subtle references to the authors, their friends, and characters.Stylistic NotesAs you read you’ll see that for the sake of clarity, manyentries do not list redundant information. For example, aresturant that has no racial or ethnic biases simply does nothave a bias entry, as opposed to saying “No Racial Bias.”Downtown Seattle—being the hub of the city—is coveredfirst, and then all districts are organized in alphabeticalorder, with the exception of the Puyallup and RedmondBarrens, which follow all the other districts. Not playing in Seattle? If your game isn’t set in Seattle, a supplement namedSeattle 2063 may at first appear of dubious use to you. However, with minimal tweaking all the locations couldeasily be dropped into any North American metroplex—they may lack the correct flavor for international locales.Organized crime is present throughout North America, and while the names may change, political figures andmachinations drive the public sector everywhere you go.I heartily encourage non-Seattle players and gamemastersto dig through this supplement, modify what you like, and make of much use as you can of it. After all, the morethings change, the more things stay the same. The Shadowrun Supplemental3
