Our littlebrochure for new citizens, which wasproduced <strong>in</strong> co-operation with traffiQ,our public-transportation provider,can be your fi rst guide for fi nd<strong>in</strong>gyour way through our city.Each year, approximately 45,000new citizens move to <strong>Frankfurt</strong>, halfof them from abroad. With her <strong>in</strong>ternationalairport, <strong>Frankfurt</strong> is oneof the most cosmopolitan cities <strong>in</strong>Europe, with more than 170 nationalitiesliv<strong>in</strong>g together <strong>in</strong> peace. Almosta third of <strong>Frankfurt</strong>’s 660,000citizens are foreign nationals. We arevery proud of our long tradition as atolerant and liberal city.<strong>Frankfurt</strong> – the center of fi nance, theEuropean city, the traffi c hub, theworld’s smallest metropolis. Whenyou th<strong>in</strong>k of this city, her skyl<strong>in</strong>e,her airport, her stock exchange, theBook Fair, or St. Paul’s Church cometo m<strong>in</strong>d – but also, of course, JohannWolfgang Goethe, a native son of<strong>Frankfurt</strong>.
