No requirement shall be imposed that use of propertywhich is otherwise exempt pursuant to this section shall benefit the people of Colorado inorder to qualify for said exemption. Any exemption claimed pursuant to the provisionsof this section shall comply with the provisions of section 39-2- 117.CO ST § 39-3-111.5(1) <strong>Property</strong>, real and personal, which is owned and used solely and exclusively forstrictly charitable purposes and not for private gain or corporate profit shall be exemptfrom the levy and collection of property tax if:(a) Such property is owned by a nonprofit corporation, whether organized underthe laws of this state or of another state;(b) Such property is occupied or used by one or more physician or dentist, orboth, licensed to practice medicine or dentistry, as applicable, under the laws ofthis state for the purpose of the practice of medicine or dentistry;(c) Such health care services are provided to patients who request such servicesand the financially needy are only charged for such services based upon theability to pay; and(d) <strong>The</strong> board of county commissioners of the county in which such property islocated certifies that a need exists for the provision of such health care services.CO ST § 39-3-112.5Residential property that is used for charitable purposes to aid the homeless shall beexempt from taxation.CO ST § 7-47-106All the property of such corporation used or owned for the purposes of this article(Article 47: Cemetery Companies) shall be exempt from taxation, assessment, lien,attachment, and levy and sale upon execution, except for the purchase price of theproperty.CO ST § 10-14-504Every society organized or licensed under this article is hereby declared to be a charitableand benevolent institution, and all of its funds shall be exempt from all and every state,county, district, municipal, and school tax other than taxes on real estate and officeequipment.CO ST § 29-4-227<strong>The</strong> authority (Housing Authority) is exempt from the payment of any taxes or fees to thestate or any subdivision thereof, or to any officer or employee of the state or anysubdivision thereof. <strong>The</strong> property of an authority shall be exempt from all local andmunicipal taxes. Bonds, notes, debentures, and other evidences of indebtedness of anauthority are declared to be issued for a public purpose and to be public instruments, and,together with interest thereon, shall be exempt from taxes. All property leased to theauthority for the purposes of a project shall likewise be exempt from taxation, as shall theincome derived from the authority by the lessor under such lease.48
