Producing PartnersIn order to build more futures of children and youth,Friends-International has expanded its impact bysetting up the CYTI Alliance. This is a worldwide networkof currently 25 organizations who aim to provide thehighest standard of services to marginalized urbanchildren and youth, their families and communities.Trained and coordinated by Friends-International,these organizations work effectively, only in the bestinterest of children and youth in places like Cambodia,Egypt, Honduras, Indonesia, Lao P.D.R, Mexico andThailand. In this way, training methods, skills andexperiences are exchanged to constantly improveexisting projects and respond to future challengeswith effective solutions.CYTI Alliance strives to build futures for vulnerablepeople from all over the world so they can becomeindependent citizens of their country. Through this,they will be able to have an influence on society,will adopt positive behavior changes and will beenabled to provide supportive environments for futuregenerations.A World of FriendsM’Lop Tapang :M’Lop Tapang, a local non-profit organizationregistered with the Royal Government of Cambodia,has been working with the street children ofSihanoukville since 2003. They currently work directlywith over 3000 children and 900 families through ninespecialized centers in the Sihanoukville area providing shelter, medical care, sports andarts, education and training, counseling, family support and protection from all types ofabuse. Another 20,000 children live in precarious family situations in Sihanoukville, onestep away from having to drop out of school, start working, lose their homes or be victimsof abuse.
