Interventions are designed to providethe optimal dosage of communication.May 9: Dan Gilhooley, PsyaD, “Mistakes.” A study ofclinical “mistakes” touches on controversial issuesconcerning fundamental elements in psychoanalytictechnique. Clinical examples demonstrate how mistakes,used creatively, can focus and improve treatment.May 23: Robert Quackenbush, PhD “The Use of<strong>Psychoanalytic</strong> Techniques with Children and Adolescents.”Quackenbush uses the techniques developedby Winnicott and Spotnitz to demonstrate howunderstanding symbolic communication allows us tohelp children put their thoughts and feelings into words.Fridays 7:30-9:30PM Fee: $10/lecture; $50/series of 6;Students: $7/lecture, $35/series of 6All presentations are followed by audience discussionand refreshments.
