General InformationTuition and FeesRegistration is done a first come first serve basis.The tuition is listed for each course listing. There isa $2 Insurance Fee for each student per semesterwhich is mandatory. Returned checks will incur a$25 fee per check returned. Foreign check handlingfee per check will be $10.Books, Materials and Other SuppliesPurchases of materials (textbooks, workbooks, consumables,equipment, etc.) may be required forcertain courses (see specific course description). Thiscost is not included in the course tuition unlessspecified. Please see our website or call for purchasinginformation. Please note, the College will notreimburse a student who purchases books, materialsor other supplies for any reason, including if a classis canceled.PaymentPayment can be made by mail, in person, by phone,via fax, or online. You can pay your tuition and feesby cash (Middletown only), check, money order,MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or the Tuition Pay plan.If you are using a charge card, you must providecard number and expiration date, student’s name,cardholder’s name (if different from student’s), andcardholder’s zip code.RegistrationRegistration for 1-day courses must be receivedprior to the start date of the course. Payment fortuition at off-campus locations must be made bycheck, money order, MasterCard, Visa or Discover.<strong>SUNY</strong> <strong>Orange</strong> reserves the right to change instrcutorsand program offerings.Stop/HoldsStudents that have unmet financial obligations tothe College or who failed to comply with collegerequirements will not be permitted to register untilthe stop/hold is cleared with the issuing office. Inaddition, all information relating to student recordswill be withheld in accordance with the Family<strong>Education</strong>al Rights and Privacy Act.Drop/AddStudents who completed registration for coursesmay add other courses and/or change the coursesthroughout the semester. They may also withdraw(drop) by deadlines listed (see refund policy). Drop/Add forms are availble at the Records andRegisrtation Office.Refund/Policy100%, if written request is received prior to firstday of class. There will be no refunds on the day theclass begins and thereafter. See special refund conditionsin the course descriptions for certain courses.Refund payment are processed and mailed approximatelyfour to six weeks after the cancellation date.Students unable to attend the courses they registeredfor must inform the <strong>Continuing</strong> andProfessional <strong>Education</strong> department in writing thatthey wish to withdraw. Failure to complete thecourse does not constitute official withdrawal, nordoes notification of the instructor. The lack ofattendance alone does not entitle the student to arefund. Refund requests cannot be made by telephone,online, or through the instructor.Course CancellationAll <strong>Continuing</strong> and Professional <strong>Education</strong> coursesare subject to minimum enrollment. When coursesare cancelled by the College for any reason, studentsmay transfer payment to another course or receive afull refund. <strong>SUNY</strong> <strong>Orange</strong> reserves the right to cancelany class for which there is insufficientenrollment and to withdraw or modify course offerings.Course locations, dates, fees, and instructorsmay also be changed when necessary. Check ourwebsite for the most up to date information regardingcourse offerings, schedule, locations and fees.Session Cancellation PolicyThe College will make every effort to accommodateemergency situations that may occur such as severeweather conditions, a facility issue or instructor illness.In most cases the total number of hoursadvertised for the course will be honored.Senior DiscountCommunity Enrichment has a limited number ofSenior Citizen Discount Coupons available. Thesecoupons are worth $10 towards course tuition forselected non-credit courses.
