11. Any o<strong>the</strong>r business<br />
The Chairman reported that in response to an enquiry to COPAC, we will be pleased to know that<br />
<strong>the</strong> problem <strong>of</strong> searching for words with a transliterated `ayn or hamzah in <strong>the</strong> middle will soon be<br />
resolved. It has not possible to find all (or even most) transliterated records for Arabic books<br />
which included words like mu`jam or mu'assasah in <strong>the</strong> title, or Ma`luf or Ma'mun in <strong>the</strong> author<br />
field. Following <strong>the</strong> reloading <strong>of</strong> Arabic records all Persian (Farsi) and Hebrew records will also be<br />
reloaded to cure similar problems with records in <strong>the</strong>se languages.<br />
12. Time and place <strong>of</strong> next meeting<br />
The next meeting will be held in conjunction with <strong>the</strong> BRISMES Conference in Manchester on<br />
July 6th 2009. The Pearson Lecture will be at 12 and <strong>the</strong> business meeting at 2/30.
