Cont.• The philosophy of LVT and its founder is that whenconstructing a cement plant in a country likeMuanmar it is important to use local work force to amaximum extent, as this is one of the first bigindustrialized projects in the country, and by usinglocal work force this will not only create jobs for thelocal people, but also develop the skills of theMyanmar work force.
Continued• Similar to the involvement of these two projects inMyanmar, HJ Nielsen was involved to develop the Thaicement Industry during 1980 to 1986 and thegovernment sector cement industry in Indonesia from1990 to 1995, where it was also successful to utilize abig portion of local work force, at the beginning forthe fabrication and installation, and later for certainengineering design.
