FLAG SIGNALS<br />
11. The following flag signals may be authorised by the Promoters during practice or races and must be immediately<br />
obeyed by competitors: Only authorised officials are permitted to use flags. No other flag signals of any kind are permitted.<br />
Only the Clerk of the Course can authorise a race to be stopped.<br />
The penalty for ignoring Flags is exclusion from the Event<br />
NATIONAL FLAG: Starting Flag.<br />
RED FLAG: The use of the RED FLAG/RED LIGHTS indicates that racing or practice has been Stopped. Overtaking is<br />
forbidden. Riders shall slow down and may be instructed to return to the starting grid or paddock, as decided by the Clerk<br />
of the Course (COC). A rider may raise his/her hand to acknowledge a red flag. At the time when a red flag is displayed,<br />
competitors who are not actively competing in the race will not be classified in the results.<br />
YELLOW FLAG held motionless. Is a direct Instruction to the rider to slow down, overtaking is forbidden.<br />
YELLOW FLAG waved. Is a direct Instruction to the rider to slow down, and prepare to stop. Overtaking is forbidden<br />
WHITE FLAG: Slow moving vehicle on track - no overtaking<br />
YELLOW FLAG with Red Stripes: Deterioration of adhesion of the track. Warning of slippery surface.<br />
BLACK FLAG. Informs the driver of the motorcycle, the number on a signalling board of which is shown, that he/she must<br />
stop with the utmost care and attention. The rider must report to COC.<br />
YELLOW FLAG WITH DIAGONAL BLACK CROSS: Last Lap Flag.<br />
BLACK AND WHITE CHEQUERED FLAG: Waved at finish line to indicate finish of race or practice session<br />
BLACK FLAG WITH ORANGE CIRCLE AND RIDER’S NUMBER: will be operated at 4 points on the course.<br />
1. START 2. YORK CORNER 3. BALLYSALLY ROUNDABOUT 4. METROPOLE<br />
If you are ‘black-flagged’ at X, proceed to O, stop machine here, where machine will be checked. If you are allowed to<br />
proceed, you will be credited with your previous lap time.<br />
OVERSHOOTING AT THE CHICANES<br />
If you overshoot at either chicane, you MUST proceed to the end, where a marshal will permit you to rejoin the course<br />
when safe to do so.<br />
Under NO circumstances must you turn and rejoin the course where you left it.<br />
PULLING INTO PITS<br />
If you are pulling into the pits keep to the right hand side on the approach to the finish chicane and proceed down into the<br />
pits. When leaving the pits proceed to the marshal at the end of the pit lane who will permit you to rejoin the course when<br />
safe to do so.<br />
