Fixing holes should be made oversize andscrews should not be over tightened. A gap should be left between adjoining lengths toallow for expansion, 2-3mm will be sufficient for most needs but where extremes oftemperature change are possible, a gap of 6mm should be left.Conduit should be able to move freely within saddles or clips and it is recommended thatan expansion coupling is installed when a straight run exceeds 6 metres.All systems are designed to allow installers to comply with current IEE regulations.
