Section 3 asks for personal information about your identity and <strong>the</strong> country you arefrom.Sections 4, 5 and 6 ask how and when you came to <strong>the</strong> <strong>UK</strong> and for informationabout <strong>the</strong> countries you have lived in.Section 7 is a list of documents you should provide, as far as possible, in support ofyour application for leave to remain as a stateless person.Section 8 asks for information about your dependants and o<strong>the</strong>r family members and <strong>the</strong>irplaces of birth. Please complete this to <strong>the</strong> best of your ability.Section 9 must be completed in all cases. It is important that you explain, withreference to any countries with which you are connected by birth, family descent, orethnic origin, why you consider yourself stateless and not a national of any State by<strong>the</strong> operation of its law. Where you have made efforts to acquire nationality or obtainconfirmation of nationality, you must provide details of your enquiries and <strong>the</strong> responsesreceived.Section 10 requires you to provide, if applicable, any criminal convictions in <strong>the</strong> <strong>UK</strong>or overseas, and any involvement in serious crimes abroad, such as war crimes orterrorism.Section 11 is information we require for <strong>the</strong> issue of biometric residence permits in<strong>the</strong> event of a grant of leave. Please see <strong>the</strong> separate notes below.Section 12 lists <strong>the</strong> documents and photographs needed in support of your application.You should not pin, staple, glue or tape <strong>the</strong> photographs to your application form.
