Iam excited about the opportunity to teach this coursethis summer and look forward to getting to know you allduring our on-campus session. Since becoming anurse in 1998, I have spent the majority of my careerworking in the long term care arena in Maine and amvery passionate about the issues affecting the olderadult population. My interest in this arena has beenfurther developed through ongoing educationcompleting graduate degrees in business and nursingwith certification as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. I amcurrently completing doctoral studies towards a PhD inPublic Policy with a concentration in health services.I currently teach the online version of this course forSJCME and also teach in a baccalaureate nursingprogram for the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
