Calculating the Stacking Factor.
The Stacking Factor, which is the complement to the Required Stacking Factor, is
calculated as:

The required case lifetime from less than 7 days up to more than 2 years.
The highest relative humidity (RH) to which the case will be subjected. A value of
50% RH would mean a fairly dry climate. During normal climate the relative humidity
is about 70% in average. For low temperatures, e.g. in Northern Europe during
winter time, the relative humidity can be 90%.
Pallet pattern of cases in stack. Pallet pattern will affect ability of cases to take a
top to bottom load. Column pattern requires less box BCT strength than an interlocking
pattern.
Overhang occuring on a pallet. Overhang will increase the required BCT strength.
