The Congress is organized byChinese Medical Association, CIT Board of Directors, Chinese Society of Cardiology, and CardiovascularResearch Foundation / Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), and co-sponsored by PCR andESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Surgery, Complex Cardiovascular Therapeutics (CCT), SociedadLatinoamericana de Cardiología Intervencionista (SOLACI), Angioplasty Summit - TCTAP, CardiovascularResearch Technologies (CRT), Asian Interventional Cardiovascular Therapeutics (AICT), New CardiovascularHorizons (NCVH), Division of Medicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Cardiovascular Societyof Cross-Straits Medicine Exchange Association, China Cardiovascular Promotive Association, Hong KongCollege of Cardiology, and Chinese Medical Journal.It is our great honor and privilege that CIT will be in partnership with TCT from 2011, by which CIT willbe more closely connecting to TCT and getting stronger support from the most prestigious educationand scientific exchange program. CIT 2011 in partnership with TCT will offer more than 900 didacticpresentations, 500 abstracts, and 40 live cases in four-day program. The opening of CIT and the exclusiveplenary session will take place in the morning of March 17 th , and the late breaking trials will be in theafternoon. PCR and ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Surgery, CCT, SOLACI, Angioplasty Summit,CRT, AICT, and NCVH will organize more productively joint programs at CIT 2011. The four major areasof interventional cardiology: coronary, structural heart disease, endovascular, and heart rhythm will befeatured by comprehensive scientific sessions, which are designed to provide information and resourcesthat can be immediately translated into improved patient care. Original research is presented in the formsof oral and electronic abstracts, late-breaking trials and first report investigations, topic-oriented symposia,workshops, and concurrent sessions. The basic and advanced interventional techniques, interventionalpharmacology, cardiovascular prevention, and cardiovascular imaging are also covered in-depth.As the largest interventional cardiology meeting and one of the most educational teaching courses in AsiaPacific region, it is estimated that more than 5,000 experts, cardiologists, radiologists, vascular medicinespecialists, industrial partners and other health care professionals with a special interest in the field ofinterventional cardiology will attend the meeting. Participants will have the opportunities to share scientificinformation and the latest advances, to exchange expertise in interventional cardiology, to renew ourfriendship, and to increase worldwide collaboration. The Congress will also provide a unique opportunityfor the industries to exhibit their new products and to contact with the cardiologists more closely.The meeting venue of CIT 2011 is still the CNCC, China's largest and the most modern internationalconference center with primary location and completed facilities. It is located in the heart of BeijingOlympic Green, standing right next to the Bird Nest (China National Stadium), Water Cube (National AquaticCenter) and National Indoor Stadium. Beijing is a highly civilized and ancient city rich in historical sites andfull of cultural events.
