Healthcare Paramedic Certificate ProgramNEWBecome a Paramedic – <strong>SUNY</strong> <strong>Orange</strong> to offer Paramedic Training<strong>SUNY</strong> <strong>Orange</strong> has received approval from the NYS Department of Health, Bureau ofEmergency Medical Services, to become a sp<strong>on</strong>sor of a Paramedic Training Program.Paramedics are trained to provide medical care to people who have suffered from an illness or aninjury outside of the hospital setting. EMTs and paramedics work under protocols approved by aphysician medical director to recognize, assess, and manage medical emergencies and transportpatients to definitive medical care.
