Community£185,000raised for charityTour de LDC….Three little words which loomed large over the summerof 2010 for everyone taking part.Agreeing to get involved in any charity event is acommitment. Agreeing to complete the Tour requireda lifestyle change for some LDC employees andvolunteers from investee businesses!While some of the 200 participating riders could onlycomplete a few legs of the Tour for completely validreasons, seven stayed in the saddle for a full 15 daysand 1,120 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats.These were the people who trained, lost weight andimproved their fitness. Those who didn’t experienced allmanner of pain and suffering.But these aches were lightened by the knowledge that,at time of writing, the LDC Tour had raised £180,000for a number of chosen charities.
