Since then you have nurturedand supported me in my faith journey and providedincredible witnesses to faith-filled lives.In the early church, leaders were chosen from amongthe members of the faith community. I believe thatyou have done this for me – chosen me to be acatechetical leader among you. From the firstinvitation to ‘teach’ second grade in 1986 andthrough becoming Director of Religious Educationin 2004, you have shared your selves, your childrenand your families with me in a privileged place oflearning about and living the faith we hold incommon.I have been abundantly blessed by your example,your search for Christ, and your shared revelationsof God’s presence in your joys and sorrows.Thank you!
