Aortopulmonary Window• The result of failure of fusion ofthe two opposing conotruncalridges that are responsible forseparating the truncus arteriosusinto the aorta and pulmonaryartery.• APW occurs between theascending aorta and the mainpulmonary artery and may befound just above the semilunarvalves or between the moredistal ascending aorta andmain pulmonary artery.
