Logistics: capitalizing on state’s growingtransport infrastructure‣Karnataka has nine transshipment centers catering to the imports and exports of the state. Four ofthese centers are located in Bangalore‣Development in Karnataka’s logistic infrastructure targeted at paralleling growth of national logisticinfrastructure and harness increasing opportunities in sector‣Imports / exports from Karnataka mainly take place through the four centers – NMPT, Karwar, BIALand the dry port at Bangalore (ICD).‣The CFS at Mangalore handles negligible cargo while the CFS at Belgaum is utilized to 80% of itscapacity.
