In south-eastQueensland, regional extractive industries planning isalso coordinated through, and accountable to, theBrisbane River <strong>Management</strong> Group (BRMG) PolicyCouncil. The EPA manages extraction in tidal areas; DNRmanages planning and approval for non-tidal, in-streamextraction; and local governments manage planningand approval for off-stream extraction.
