This brochure was published to accompany the exhibition “The Artful Disposition ofShades”: The Great Age of English Mezzotints ( January 19–March 14, 2010), curated byT. Barton Thurber, Curator of European Art. The exhibition was organized by the HoodMuseum of Art and generously supported by the Bernard R.
