Twenty—six boats entered and eighteenstarted. After a good race ‘Alexandra’ got home first, closelyfollowed by ‘Ozone’, ‘Minora’, ‘Nyrvea’, only eighteenseconds separating the last three, which speaks volumesfor the good work done by the handicappers, MessrsSharkey and Bonney.”As it was late in the season, this was the Club’sonly event but it still had its prize giving. Toquote Mr Lernon again:“This took the form of a smoke social held in the ParishHall on June 22nd. The attendance was exceedinglygratifying, about 120 being present including representativesfrom the affiliated clubs. An excellent musicalprogramme was carried out and a highly enjoyable eveningspent.”- Quote from CYC 100 Years of History 1905—2005.
