3membership in a board/<strong>Association</strong> in another state and who desire to obtain direct membershipin the State <strong>Association</strong> without holding membership in a Member Board in the state. The Board<strong>of</strong> Directors may establish procedures and standards whereby salespersons and licensed orcertified appraisers affiliated with a REALTOR® Member may become REALTOR® Members<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Association</strong>.D. Institute Affiliate Members. Institute Affiliate Members shall be individuals who hold apr<strong>of</strong>essional designation awarded by a qualified Institute, Society or Council affiliated with theNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF <strong>REALTORS</strong>® that addresses a specialty area other thanresidential brokerage or individuals who otherwise hold a class <strong>of</strong> membership in such Institute,Society or Council that confers the right to vote or hold <strong>of</strong>fice. Any such individual, if otherwiseeligible, may elect to hold REALTOR® Membership, subject to payment <strong>of</strong> applicable dues forsuch membership. Individuals whose places <strong>of</strong> business are located in an area outside thejurisdiction <strong>of</strong> a Member Board <strong>of</strong> <strong>REALTORS</strong>® shall be eligible to apply for Institute AffiliateMembership in the State <strong>Association</strong> if they meet the requirements as specified above.E. Affiliate Members. Affiliate Members shall be individuals, partnerships, corporations or otherlegal entities that (1) own real estate, or have an interest in the real estate pr<strong>of</strong>ession, or share abelief in the objectives <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Association</strong>, and (2) do not fall within another membership classset forth in this Section, and (3) are Affiliate Members <strong>of</strong> a Member <strong>Association</strong> or have intereststhat are statewide, or have a principal place <strong>of</strong> business outside <strong>of</strong> <strong>Mississippi</strong>.F. Honorary Members. Honorary Members shall be individuals other than those engaged in the realestate business who have contributed notably to this <strong>Association</strong>. Honorary Members shall beapproved by the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors.G. Student Members. Student Members shall be individuals who are seeking an undergraduate or agraduate degree with a specialization or major in real estate at an institution <strong>of</strong> higher learning,and who have completed at least two (2) years <strong>of</strong> college and at least one (1) college-level coursein real estate, but who are not actively engaged in the real estate pr<strong>of</strong>ession on their own account,or are not associated with an established real estate <strong>of</strong>fice.SECTION 2. Any local Board <strong>of</strong> <strong>REALTORS</strong>® enrolled as a Member Board in this <strong>Association</strong> shall also bea Member Board <strong>of</strong> the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF <strong>REALTORS</strong>® or in the case <strong>of</strong> a newly organizedboard, shall become such within six (6) months after its enrollment. Any Board which does not maintain itsmembership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF <strong>REALTORS</strong>® shall thereby forfeit its membership in this<strong>Association</strong>.SECTION 3. All applicants for Individual Membership in this <strong>Association</strong> shall be required, upon or aftermaking such application, to satisfactorily complete an indoctrination course <strong>of</strong> study consisting <strong>of</strong> the Code <strong>of</strong>Ethics, the Constitution and <strong>Bylaws</strong> and Rules and Regulations <strong>of</strong> the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF<strong>REALTORS</strong>® and the MISSISSIPPI ASSOCIATION OF <strong>REALTORS</strong>®, and with such course to be asapproved by the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors for this purpose. It shall be the duty <strong>of</strong> the Executive Committee to enforcethis section <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Bylaws</strong> as it applies to applicants for Individual Membership.SECTION 4. Applications. All applications or recommendations for membership in the <strong>Association</strong> shall besubmitted to the Chief Executive Officer.SECTION 5. Election. Election to membership in the <strong>Association</strong>’s classes shall be as follows:
