SrTia Bhaktisiddhanta SarasvatT Thakura explains that unless one isdirectly empowered by the causeless mercy of Krr:Ja, one cannot become thespiritual master of the entire world (jagad-guru). One cannot become an acaryasimply by mental speculation. The true acarya presents Krr:Ja to everyone bypreaching the holy name of the Lord throughout the world. Thus the conditionedsouls, purified by chanting the holy name, are liberated from the blazing fire ofmaterial existence. In this way, spiritual benefit grows increasingly full, like thewaxing moon in the sky. The true acarya, the spiritual master of the entire world,must be considered an incarnation of Krr:Ja's mercy. Indeed, he is personallyembracing Krr:Ja. He is therefore the spiritual master of all the varQas (brahmaQa,katriya, vaisya and sudra) and all the asramas (brahmacarya, grhastha, vanaprasthaand sannyasa). Since he is understood to be the most advanced devotee, he iscalled paramaharhsa-thakura. Thakura is a title of honor offered to theparamaharhsa. Therefore one who acts as an acarya, directly presenting Lord Krr:Jaby spreading His name and fame, is also to be called paramaharhsa-thakura.TEXT 13'f'$ft\!
