The rough estimate cost of sample analysis is ca. 15,000 $US which include:- Clone library sequencing (six 96 wells plate*500$/each plate)- 454 Pyrosequencing (half picotiter plate, $8,000)- Clone library TA cloning kit (Invitrogen 500$/25 reactions)- RT-PCR kit (Invitrogen, 1,200$/150 reactions)- Rna extraction kit (Quiagen, 250$/50 reactions)- Disposable laboratory materials and disposal of laboratory waste (2,000$ estimated price)Justification:The estimated costs include travel from Italy to Rutgers University and back and the costassociated with the VISA (ca. 300$US fees). The rental of a near-campus accommodation andrelated expenses such as electricity, water and gas for a three months periods. The livingexpenses include cost of the food and life while in the US. The Health Insurance Coverage,which is a compulsory requirement for visiting student coming to Rutgers University.IV.
