Why do telephone wires sag on a hot day <strong>and</strong> tighteninto straight lines on a cold day? Why is a jar lid easier to remove if it has been placed underhot water? Why do people in hot, desert countries wear white clothing over their arms <strong>and</strong>legs instead <strong>of</strong> wearing short-sleeved shirts <strong>and</strong> short pants?
