In response to thisneed, the YMCA has developed several activitiesto encourage and motivate older adults to takeaction and get involved. YMCA programs for olderadults strengthen the whole person.SilverSneakers® 1: The preventativeSilverSneakers® exercise programenhances the quality of life for matureadults across the country. Health CareDimensions (HCD) developed theSilverSneakers® Fitness Program 10 yearsago, and it has since grown into thelargest senior-focused exercise programin the United States. The partnershipsbetween HCD and HMOs allowMedicare-eligible members of thesehealth plans to participate in YMCAprograms at no additional cost.Monthly Luncheons: Join us for apotluck lunch the last Wednesday ofeach month at 11:00am.Monthly Field Trips: May include tripsto museums, Astros games and YMCAassociation events, among other things.Day/Time: Vary monthlyFee: VariesAOA Bingo: Second Friday of eachmonth at 11:00am.
