6Sean Cronsberry with the Ministry ofNatural Resources Canine Unit takes inthe Sutton Fair and Horse Show withErik Josephson (left) and Ben Barkey(right).Members of Constable Garret Styles’ family, Georgina Council, York Regional Police(YRP) and residents of the Simcoe Landing subdivision in Keswick gathered on Thursdayevening, August 22 to unveil a two-acre park in memory of the fallen Constable.The park, which will service hundreds of homes and families throughout the subdivision,was made possible through the combined efforts of the Town and Metrus.MPP Julia Munro (centre) was on handto officially open the new AgriculturalPavilion at the Sutton Fair this year. Thenew structure replaces the old cattle andsheep buildings and was made possiblethrough a $47,400 Ontario TrilliumFoundation grant.Kat, from Kat’s Gallery in Jackson’s Point and the organizer ofthe 2nd Annual Painted Perch Challenge votes for her favouriteentries. Approximately 130 fish canvases were sold and enteredinto four categories. The winners this year were (Kids 0-6 years)1st—Jim Arnold, 2nd—Cole Bernbaum, 3rd—Dylan Bernatt.(Kids 7-12) 1st—Hazel Big Canoe, 2nd—Hanna Big Canoe,3rd—Zoe Leeking. (Adult 3-D) 1st— place Greg Wallace, 2nd—The Old Mill, 3rd—Karen and Renare Freels. (Adult Painted)1st—Julia Sperry, 2nd—Ellen Downe, 3rd—Janet Haskin.Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Angel Hairfrom Kids challenge organized by Crystal Pangman.
