Youwill see that this issue contains details of theGeneral Meeting and the Delegates Meeting whichhave not been done in the past.It also provides a report on the State ManagementCommittee meeting and a report from the Treasureron the financial side of the Association. Thesereports will be contained in all future Nasho Newswhile I am President. We have completed the entire necessary legislativeand financial requirement relating to the change inadministration and can now get to work providingconstructive management for our Association. We have also completed the registration with theAustralian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission(ACNC) that was required by Federal legislation.ANZAC Day was upon us quickly and I washonoured to lead the many members who marchedthrough the streets of Brisbane to honour our fallenheroes. It was pleasing to see Her Excellency MsPenelope Wensley AC give our unit a specialacknowledgement as we passed the dais.I would like to thank the many members who wereinvolved in selling ANZAC Day memorabilia; thiseffort provides the Branches with funds to conductsignificant welfare work.I was invited to attend the Premier’s 30 yearplanning workshop. It will be interestingto see if the many ideas discussed come to fruition.I thank the many Branches that have invited myselfand Lois to attend their activities, unfortunatelysome of these events clash but where this happens Iwill ensure that a member of the management teamattend in our place. The routine day to day operations of the Associationcontinues at Camp Hill and on behalf of themembers I wish to acknowledge the great efforts ofour team of volunteers lead by Tony Stevenson forthis dedicated work. These special thanks are extended to the team thatturn out to mail this newsletter to you.I would like to invite all members to attend aChurch Parade to be held at Wacol on Sunday, 28thJuly 2013.
