<strong>ZOO</strong>rifi c On-Site Programs<br />

Educational as well as fun.<br />

A zoo educa<strong>to</strong>r or a trained volunteer will lead your class<br />

around the zoo, making s<strong>to</strong>ps at an animal exhibit that<br />

ill<strong>us</strong>trates program themes. Each <strong>to</strong>ur lasts about one hour and<br />

is designed for groups of 35 students or less.<br />

Our guided <strong>to</strong>urs are set up for kindergarten through adults,<br />

and you m<strong>us</strong>t make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.<br />

Claws and Jaws <strong>Zoo</strong> Tour<br />

<strong>Your</strong> class will visit the <strong>Zoo</strong> <strong>to</strong> learn about preda<strong>to</strong>r and prey<br />

animals and how they fi t in<strong>to</strong> an ecosystem’s food chain.<br />

Students will explore the ways that preda<strong>to</strong>rs hunt for food<br />

and prey avoids <strong>be</strong>coming someone’s lunch. They will learn<br />

about adaptations that animals have that help them survive<br />

in their habitat.<br />

Fee: $2 per person in addition <strong>to</strong> general admission fees.<br />

Minimum fee: $30<br />

Grades 2-9 (50 minutes)
