3. TO LOAD CHAMBER. Hold the pistolwith one hand keeping your finger AWAYfrom the TRIGGER. With the other handpull the SLIDE to its limit and release it.The SLIDE will go forward underRECOIL SPRING pressure and willinsert one cartridge in the chamber, or tipup barrel by pushing forward on thebarrel catch located above the trigger onthe left side of the frame and insertcartridge. Or insert magazine and tip upbarrel and then insert cartridge intobarrel chamber.334. TO FIRE PISTOL. The pistol is fired bypulling the TRIGGER. After firing, theSLIDE will recoil from gas pressure andwill eject the empty cartridge case andfeed another cartridge into the chamber.The pistol will be ready to fire again.4<strong>22</strong> ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION AND FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER.
5. If you want to STOP SHOOTING beforefiring the last cartridge of the MAGAZINE,PUT SAFETY LEVER IN THE SAFEPOSITION, i.e. manual safety lever fully up(on). To start shooting again you only haveto take safety off and pull the TRIGGER asthis TAURUS pistol is double action.5TO UNLOAD THE GUN.Remove the magazine and tip up barrel and pick out cartridge from chamber.ATTENTION: Unload your pistol with the muzzle pointing in a safe direction.ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION AND FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER.23
