STAFFPursuant to Gov. Bar R. VIII, the <strong>Supreme</strong> <strong>Court</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ohio</strong> appoints an administratorto oversee the day-to-day operations <strong>of</strong> the Clients’ Security Fund and to serve assecretary to the board. Janet Green Marbley (page 1), originally appointed by thecourt in 1995, is the current administrator and board secretary. The staff includesMeletha Dawson, administrative secretary; Pamela Leslie, fiscal specialist; and AbbyMinnix, claims analyst.STAFFPUBLICATIONSThe Clients’ Security Fund, in collaboration with the Commission onPr<strong>of</strong>essionalism, published “A Consumer’s Practical Guide to Managing aRelationship with a Lawyer,” which provides general, practical information about thelawyer-client relationship. The guide is written and intended for use by the generalpublic, and provides easy-to-understand, useful information, including how to find alawyer, what to expect after hiring a lawyer and how to avoid problems in the lawyerclientrelationship. The consumer guide is distributed statewide to bar associations,public libraries, law firms and other pr<strong>of</strong>essional and governmental <strong>of</strong>fices.DAWSONLESLIEThe CSF also publishes a pamphlet that contains a brief description <strong>of</strong> the purpose <strong>of</strong>the fund. The pamphlet includes answers to basic questions about the types <strong>of</strong> claimsthat may be reimbursed by the CSF.Following each board meeting, the CSF staff prepares and distributes a press releasethat contains a brief description <strong>of</strong> the awards made by the board, including thenames <strong>of</strong> attorneys involved in the claims. The <strong>Supreme</strong> <strong>Court</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> PublicInformation distributes the press release online to the publications on its mailinglist. In addition, the fund distributes the press release statewide to bar and otherpr<strong>of</strong>essional associations, newspapers and other publications, as well as to legislators,county prosecutors and other governmental <strong>of</strong>fices. The CSF gains increasedexposure from the distribution <strong>of</strong> its press release.MINNIXThe CSF is online at www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/Boards/clientSecurity/ and isaccessible by e-mail at csfo@sc.ohio.gov. Thanks to the assistance <strong>of</strong> the Office<strong>of</strong> Public Information Office, current information about the CSF, including theapplication for reimbursement, is available online.5
