The area where riots happened is very sensitive as it has mixedpopulation," the official added. The police lobbed 14 teargas shells to disperse the mob. "We are inprocess of identifying people who were involved in the riots. Strict action will be taken against theaccused. We have upped security in the sensitive areas of the city to avoid such incidents in future," saidcity police commissioner Satish Sharma. This is one of the several incidents in the city where vehicleaccidents have triggered riots.
