Welding curtain EN-15987Cepro International B.V. - Catalogue 2010 - www.cepro.euWelding curtains are designed for use in workplaceswhere bystanders must be protected against the hazardousradiation emitted during welding work. They provideprotection against dangerous Blue Light and UltraViolet (UV) rays. In case of prolonged exposure theserays can cause actinic conjunctivitis and even cataracts.The curtains also protect the welder against the reflectionof the welding light. Cepro produces welding curtainsin four colours, all complying with the Europeanstandard EN-1598. The colours are Cepro Orange-CE,Cepro Bronze-CE, Cepro Green-6 and Cepro Green-9.Except for Cepro Green-9 all types are transparentwhich allows a good overview of the work area; this createssafety and prevents welders from feeling isolated.These transparent protection systems can be usedin nearly all work situations. Cepro Green-9 is usedaround welding processes with very intense radiation.Furthermore, it is specially recommended as a partitionbetween different welders.Cepro welding curtains are self-extinguishing andtherefore withstand welding sparks. They are, however,not suitable as a welding blanket and do not withstandopen fire and intense heat. Welding curtains offer visualprotection against dangerous radiation but are not suitablefor supervising welding works or as a substitute forwelding helmets.
