integral part <strong>of</strong> the dental student experience. The ability to make<br />
evidence-based decisions and critically evaluate research is vital to the<br />
provision <strong>of</strong> successful health care. Those students who participate in<br />
research gain the ‘hands-on’ experience and Research Day is their<br />
opportunity to demonstrate the product <strong>of</strong> their efforts to the rest <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Faculty, the student body and the pr<strong>of</strong>ession. At the same time,<br />
Research Day exposes all the students to the breadth <strong>of</strong> research in the<br />
Faculty and lets them hone their critical skills.”<br />
