The Agropalma GroupAgropalma is the largest oil palm grower in Latin America with a totalarea of 107,000 ha of which 64,000 ha are forest reserves. Our products -palm-based oils, fats and margarines are part of the composition of a lotof products in the food and oleo chemical industries. Agropalma has beeninvesting in the Amazon region since 1982 and has developed a completeinfrastructure. In 1996, Agropalma started its certified organic palm oilproduction and since 2001 Agropalma runs a certified managementsystem according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, applied to allits activities.In 2008, organic production of Agropalma was also certified as fair trade,according to EcoSocial system and, in 2009, Agropalma obtained theISO 22000 seal, related to food safety in its refinery, shortenings andmargarine industrial plants.
