Perhaps concern over theweather was the reason that we were downon numbers but a reasonable field enjoyedsome good sections at all levels followed bythe customary barbecue provided by the "twolovelies ". Jan and Jo. A big thank you to themas the provision of the barbecue means a lotof work (and cleaning) but really adds to thesocial atmosphere. No photographs for thisevent I am afraid as i was riding and although afew people were still circulating when i finishedthe light was very poor. On that note we haveno photographs for the subsequent Club trialat Dunsfold although I think there must besome around of the camping weekend at least.Please feel free to send any trial photographsto either myself or Dave Wooster so that wecan consider them for use in the magazine orthe website.Club LogoThank you to Jamie Bringlow for his excellentdesign for a club logo (see below). Obviouslya great deal of thought had gone into thisbut in the end it was felt to be too intricatefor reproduction on T shirts etc. Great tryJamie! Thanks also to Malcolm Coles, andClive and Helen Smith for some great ideas.Two in particular have caught the committee'sattention (both from the Smith household)and a little extra work is being done on thesebefore we reveal them for final selection.Club MagazineThe month seems to go quickly enough withoutthe added pressure of producing copy for themagazine. At the same time Dave is tryingto bring enough material together to makepublication of our magazine (the envy of mostclubs) worthwhile. The magazines producedover the summer have been excellent, withnews and articles as well as results. in part thiswas due to combining some of them to a twomonth period. To assist David and to try andcontinue this standard the committee havedecided that the magazine will be produced bimonthlyin future. This will mean that David willbe able to publish a schedule of publication andwe should be able to support him by producingadequate copy. If you ride or attend any event- particularly somthing outside the club like along distance trial - lets have an article tellingus about it. Perhaps some of the younger riderswould like to let us know how they got on atevents and what they thought of them?LastlyThe weather has caused problems accessingsome the grounds we would normally use forClub trials at this time of the year hence therehas been little shown on the schedule. Pleasekeep an eye on "Whats On" on the website forconfirmation of venues- whatever happens wewill be running a full programme of events.Dick ColesCLUB DINNER DANCEWe can confirm the return of the ClubDinner Dance to be held at the Russ HillHotel, Charlwood, on Saturday 28th March2009.
