Wire sizes from 26AWG to 18AWG strip 3/8" of insulation. Allother size wires strip 1/2" of insulation.2. Position the wire strands into the Solder Splice connector so thatthey overlap and are centered in the solder ring, See above. (Theeasiest method is to lay the splice connection down on a fl at, heatresistant surface, then follow step 3.)3. Apply heat, using an appropriate heat gun, directly to the solderring until it melts, forming a solder joint. Then move the heat back& forth so that the insulation sleeve is completely shrunk.NOTE: If the connection cannot be laid down on a fl at surface, analternate method would be to overlap the stripped wire & center inthe solder ring. With your thumb & forefi nger, pinch the solderring so it deforms over the wires, this holding them in place.
