At the po<strong>in</strong>t where our perimeter crossedan important north-south road I directed that another mach<strong>in</strong>e gun beposted, re<strong>in</strong>forced by the rocket launcher, and that an officer be thereat alltimes. Radio communication from my CP to each of these platoons wasestablished.As these dispositions were be<strong>in</strong>g made, I went to the hospital andtook charge of an eng<strong>in</strong>eer platoon that was <strong>in</strong>differently provid<strong>in</strong>g theclose-<strong>in</strong> security. I <strong>in</strong>formed the eng<strong>in</strong>eer lieutenant of the formation ofthe task force, and directed him to tighten up his defense of the hospital.Next, I visited the ammunition supply po<strong>in</strong>t and told the commanderof the ammunition company of the situation.
