Who can apply for AIA Secure Term Plus?You can apply if you are aged between 16 and 70 years old on your last birthday (for5-year and 10-year policy terms) or between 16 and 60 years old on your last birthday(for a 20-year policy term).Q2. How can I pay my premium?AIA Secure Term Plus premiums may be paid in cash, or by cheque, credit card or GIRO,on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.Q3. Can I use CPF funds to buy AIA Secure Term Plus?No. Please speak to your AIA Financial Services Consultant to find out about other plansthat can be paid using your CPF monies.Q4. Under what circumstances will the plan pay out?AIA Secure Term Plus will pay the insured amount in a lump sum, less any amountsowing to us, in the event of Death or diagnosis of Terminal Illness. If you take up theTotal and Permanent Disability (TPD) optional benefit, the plan will also pay out theTPD benefit up to its full insured amount in a lump sum in the event of a qualifying TPDdiagnosis. Please refer to the product summary for more information.Q5. If my cover stopped because I did not pay my premium, can it be reinstated?Yes. We may approve your written application to reinstate your cover subject to termsand conditions and provided we receive your application within three years of thepremium due date on which default in premium occurred, and payment of your overduepremiums, including interest. You will also need to submit a health declaration and wemay call for a medical report, at your expense, if necessary.Q6. Is my premium guaranteed?Your premium is based on your attained age at the time of policy inception or renewal.We guarantee that the premium will remain unchanged during the duration of the policyterm. If you renew your policy for the same insured amount after the expiry of yourexisting policy term, your premium will be higher than before.

Can I adjust the insured amount during the policy term?You may increase the insured amount during the first policy year, subject to underwriting.You may decrease the insured amount anytime during the policy term.Q8. Do I have to take a medical examination?Subject to underwriting, you may be required to take a medical examination.Q9. Can I change my mind and cancel the policy after I’ve purchased?Yes. You may cancel the plan by writing to us within 14 days from the date that youreceive your policy document (free-look period) and receive a refund of your premium(less any medical expenses incurred). If the plan is cancelled after the 14 day free-lookperiod, there will be no refund of premiums.Q10. What conditions are excluded in this policy?Common exclusions include HIV/AIDS, suicide within 1 year of the issue date orreinstatement date of the policy (whichever is later) and pre-existing conditions.For more information on exclusions, please refer to the Product Summary.
