Commanderin the U.S. Navy. She also established the first “Adolescent Hotline” at Children’s Hospitalof LA. She has numerous awards and honors. Ms. Jones is the founder and Vice President ofCasa Youth Center.Theresa Murphy holds a B.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Cal State LongBeach. She has worked with Precious Life Shelter since 1989. In 1994, she became the executivedirector and in 1996 became the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.Ms. Murphy also has received numerous awards.Ms. Jones (age 94) will discuss Casa Youth Shelter which is a temporary shelter for runawaysand youth in crisis enabling them to come through the crisis with an increased personalstrength and a sense of renewal while in a supportive environment, with family reunificationas a primary goal.
