International collaborationsThe Business School is committed to theinternationalisation of its courses and this isreflected both in content and delivery. Ourinternational dimension is developed throughrunning educational courses with internationalpartners with a reputation for excellence. Theseinclude City University of Hong Kong, Hong KongUniversity, Institute of Advanced Management(India) and IPAG Nice.International students are recruited to ourdomestic courses and have access to anextensive support network designed to ensurethat the transition to a different teaching andlearning environment is as effective as possible.In addition, we have a range of staff teachingexchanges and joint research activities withinstitutions around the world.Staff expertiseOur staff are committed to developing andapplying expertise in a range of business-relatedareas. An increasing percentage of our staffcontribute to research projects and researchsupervision. Staff draw on their extensiverange of experience – both academic andprofessional – and many staff regularly engagein consultancy and contract research activities.The increasing significance of applied researchwithin The Business School is reflected in ourrange of cross-disciplinary research (see page 18)and recognised within the 2008 ResearchAssessment Exercise.
