<strong>Laughlin</strong> AFB, TX• Water Survival — This is a 3 day course in Pensacola, FL. The course is designed to teach the basic of survivalin a maritime environment, including fishing and raft building. The first day is academics and the last two daysare application.• Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals— If selected for a fighter after completing the Advanced Phase, IFF isyour next stop. IFF is designed to teach the basic theory and application of flying fighter type aircraft. IFFstudents train in the T-38 to become proficient in air-to-air and air-to-ground tactics as appropriate to theirassigned aircraft.• FAIP—If selected as a First Assignment Instructor Pilot you are assigned to a T-6, T-1, or T-38. Your next stopwill be Pilot Instructor Training (PIT) at Randolph AFB, TX for the 4 month course. After PIT you will returnto <strong>Laughlin</strong> AFB for a 3 year assignment as an instructor followed by an MWS assignment.• FTU—Those assigned to an MWS will depart <strong>Laughlin</strong> AFB for their respective Formal Training Unit course(FTU). Each FTU is unique to that MWS with course lengths ranging from 5 months to 9 months. OperationalAssignments follow graduation from FTU.F-22—Tyndall AFB, FLF-15C—Kingsley Field, ORF-15E—Seymour Johnson AFB, NCF-16—Luke AFB, AZA-10—Davis-Monthan AFB, AZB-1—Dyess AFB, TXB-2—Whiteman AFB, MOB-52—Barksdale AFB, LAC-17—Altus AFB, OKC-5—Lackland AFB, TXC-21—Keesler AFB, MSC-130—Little Rock AFB, ARHH-60—Kirtland AFB, NMKC-135—Altus AFB, OKKC-10—McGuire AFB, NJRC-135—Offutt AFB, NBRPA—Creech AFB, NV
