Within the <strong>LAC</strong> region, the large economies (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela,Colombia, Chile <strong>and</strong> Peru) received 64 percent of the GEF grants. In geographical terms, the“Southern Cone” region, including three large-sized countries (Brazil, Argentina <strong>and</strong> Chile)accounted <strong>for</strong> the highest composition (33.4 percent), while “Caribbean” accounted <strong>for</strong> thelowest composition (10.2 percent). Figure 5 shows allocations of the GEF grants by country in<strong>LAC</strong>. Three countries (Brazil, Mexico <strong>and</strong> Colombia) have received over 50 percent of the totalgrants <strong>for</strong> the <strong>LAC</strong> countries.Figure 4.
