Who Should AttendRadiologists, breast imagers, radiologictechnologists, radiology trainees, and fellows.Program GoalsAt the conclusion of this activity, participantswill gain a better understanding of theappropriate role of ultrasound, MRI,mammography, and tomosynthesis in breastcancer detection. Participants will implementprotocols that appropriately utilize modalitiesfor breast cancer screening, better identifyingcalcifications, masses, and asymmetrieson various breast imaging modalities.Participants will be able to distinguishartifacts and architectural distortion fromtrue masses and asymmetries and be able todiscuss the latest imaging and interventionalprocedures. In addition, in an effort to meetMOC requirements, six self assessmentmodules will be offered. Attendees will beable to incorporate standardized breastimaging terminology into their practice, avoidcommon pitfalls in breast biopsy, and betteridentify high risk lesions.Accreditation StatementThe <strong>American</strong> <strong>Roentgen</strong> <strong>Ray</strong> Society (<strong>ARRS</strong>)is accredited by the Accreditation Councilfor Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)to provide continuing medical educationactivities for physicians.Designation StatementThe <strong>ARRS</strong> designates this live educationalactivity for a maximum of 21 AMA PRACategory 1 Credits.
