Stove and fireplacetechnology explainedCleanburnTertiary air is brought into the rear of the stove, circulatedvia internal ducting to pre-heat the air. It is then, as it gainsmomentum, injected via a row of factory machined holes intoJøtul’s cleanburn technologyis modern combustionengineering at it’s finest.What results from this technologyis a Jøtul stove or fireplace that isenvironmentally friendly, moreefficient and saves on fuel.the top of the Jøtul combustion chamber. This action causes theun-burnt gases (by-product of the fuel) to be re-ignited and burnagain producing extra heat and cleaner emissions. The Jøtulstove or fireplace must be burning at its optimum temperature(350˚C) to achieve clean burning efficiency andto reduce emissions.Primary airPrimary air is the combustion air needed to ‘feed the fire ‘ andis generally delivered via a controllable air vent on the door ofthe stove to the underneath of the fire.Secondary airJøtul stoves and fireplaces, with the exception of only a coupleof earlier designs, all have secondary air ‘air wash’ systems.Preheated, controllable, air is collected through a front air intakeand is jetted down the back of the high temperature ceramicglass.
